ASPNI

Nature Israel, also known as ASPNI, believes in the importance of protecting Israel’s nature.  Founded in 1986, our mission is to raise awareness of and support for the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) – החברה להגנת הטבע  – Israel’s leading and largest environmental not-for-profit organization.  We are a national, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York.

Countries around the world are struggling with an unprecedented number of environmental challenges.  As a tiny country with a rapidly increasing population density, Israel has faced many of these environmental challenges for decades.  For over 60 years, SPNI has served as a leader in addressing these environmental challenges and creating a culture of sustainable development among generations of Israelis and across all social and political spectrums in Israel.

In the Unites States, Nature Israel's events, programs and eco-tourism activities seek to share SPNI’s experience solving Israel’s environmental challenges, share Israel's natural beauty with nature lovers around the world and raise funds for SPNI’s important work in Israel, such as its educational programs, scientific research, political campaigns and eco-tourism.
