Ultra Orthodox children make up 25% of the Jewish school system in Israel, and in Jerusalem, 63%. Clearly, SPNI’s conservation efforts must extend to this sector. Oshra Attia, environmental education coordinator at SPNI Jerusalem, will share the work her staff has spearheaded in the Ultra Orthodox sector over the past several years to instill love and protection of nature within this complex community.
