Join us for a full-day exploration of the Negev’s geological wonders and living desert. We’ll begin with a gentle walk through the ancient Nabatean city of Mamshit, overlooking a 2,000-year-old dammed canyon stream. From there, we’ll visit Nahal Hatira and the green oasis of Ein Yorkeam, where winter rains may create stunning pools.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the vividly colored landscapes of Makhtesh Gadol, learning about desert plants, unique rock formations, and resident birds like the Arabian Babbler. Our day concludes with an easy walk to Mount Avnon, offering sweeping views across the crater cliffs.
Easy walking—total of 4–5 km, mostly flat with short stair sections. Please contact us in advance if you have accessibility needs.
No experience necessary. Guiding in English.
