The Eilat Bird Festival will take place from March 22–26, 2026, offering an unforgettable five-day birding adventure in Eilat and the Arava, hosted by BirdLife Israel.

This world-renowned festival brings birders from across the globe to one of the most spectacular migration hotspots on Earth. During the peak of spring migration, millions of birds funnel through Eilat on their journey north from Africa to Europe and Asia, making it an ideal setting to witness nature in motion.

Participants will explore diverse habitats led by Israel’s top birding experts. Over 200 species can be spotted, including Black Scrub-Robin, Steppe Eagle, Greater Flamingo, and Arabian Bee-eater, along with a variety of reptiles and mammals.

A highlight of the week is Champions of the Flyway 2026 on March 25, when teams from around the world race to spot as many species as possible—all to support bird conservation.

Spring in Eilat is a magical time: the weather is mild, the landscapes glow with desert light, and the skies are alive with migration. It’s a celebration of birds, nature, and community that birders won’t want to miss.

Don’t miss it!
