Celebrate spring in Israel with a full day of wildflowers, hiking, and history. We’ll begin at Lupine Hill (Tel Socho) in Emek Ha’Ela, where vibrant blue lupines blanket the hillsides alongside a stunning variety of other spring blooms. As we walk, we’ll explore the remains of the ancient city that stood here in the time of David and uncover the story behind the legendary battle with Goliath.
After a picnic lunch, we’ll continue to Khirbet Burgin, a key archaeological site in Adullam–France Park. Here we’ll explore ruins, caves, and hiding tunnels used during the Bar Kochba Revolt. Adventurous participants may peek into select tunnels for a firsthand glimpse into history, while we discuss the significance of this remarkable uprising.
Easy to moderate walking (5–6 km) on uneven paths, with some uphill and downhill sections.
Guiding is in English.
