Bus Tour: Dance of the MacQueen’s Bustard – 3/10 at 6am in Jerusalem

Address: Parking lot on Rothschild Street, above the Nili and David Jerusalem Bird Observatory

Spring is the time for the dance of the iconic MacQueen’s Bustard in the Negev Desert, as the males display to attract a female. We will travel to their dancing grounds and try to catch them in action. Desert species such as Little Owl, Cream-colored Courser, wheatears and sandgrouse, are also possible. We will explore the grove at Berotayim and the surrounding area for migrant songbirds.
On our way home, we will stop at Yeruham Park so search for migrants around the lake.

 

This is a bus trip that will leave from Jerusalem at 6:00. There is an option for pickup at Latrun at 06:30. Pick up is also possible in Beer Sheva. Drop off in Jerusalem by 17:00.

No experience is necessary! Guiding in English.
