English Bird Club – Exploring Nahal Zimri

Event Details:

Date: February 7, 2025

Address: Gal Street in Pisgat Zeev

Nahal Zimri is a stunning wadi that flows from Pisgat Zeev toward the Dead Sea. Its unique location attracts a different group of birds compared to areas west of Jerusalem. On this walk, we’ll look for Finsch’s Wheatears, Blackstarts, Blue Rock-thrush, and wintering finches. Plus, keep an eye out for the resident Mountain Gazelles and Rock Hyrax.

The route includes moderate walking along a gravel path—downhill on the way out and uphill on the return (2-3 km total).

No experience is necessary!
