Nature of Shore and Highlands – 3/11 at 6am on the Carmel Coast

We will start the day exploring the Carmel coast at Nahal Taninim and at the fishponds of Kibbutz Maagan Michael. Learn how SPNI is protecting habitat in the oceans and along the coast as well as reconstructing valuable wetlands for the millions of migrating birds that pass through the area every year. After a light lunch, we will then climb into the Carmel highland for a tour of the beautiful gardens of Ramat HaNadiv Gardens and a short hike in the Park to explore the archaeological ruins and scenery.

 

Bus will leave Jerusalem at 06:00 and will pick up at Tel Aviv at 07:00.
Pick up from 3 main hotel locations in each city.
Bus will return to Tel Aviv by 17:00 and to Jerusalem by 18:00

 

No experience is necessary! Guiding in English
Moderate walking on easy paths. Around 3 – 4 km in morning and afternoon.

Cost: 483 nis per person from Jerusalem. 445 NIS per person from Tel Aviv.
