Soaring with the vultures – a Nature Hike of Ein Avdat

Get a vulture eye’s view of the spectacular Zin Canyon on this trip to the Negev Desert. We will visit Ben Gurion’s Grave at Sde Boker and search for vultures and other birds of prey who live in the Zin Canyon, before heading down into Ein Avdat Canyon to get some closer views of the majestic Griffon Vultures and learn about the conservations projects to protect these endangered birds. Together we will hike to the top of the canyon and explore the amazing geology on the way.

 

Bus will leave Jerusalem at 6:00, with pick up in Latrun and Beer Sheva. Bus returns to Jerusalem by 17:00

 

No experience is necessary! Guiding in English

Moderate walking, with some steep stair climbing. Around 3 – 4 km.

Cost: 470 nis per person
10% discount to members of Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI).
