14 Jun Maine Conference for Jewish Life
Join Nature Israel at the Maine Conference for Jewish Life
Nature Israel is excited to be part of the Maine Conference for Jewish Life, taking place June 12–14, 2026, at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine.
On Sunday, June 14 at 9:15 AM, Rachel Canar, Executive Director of Nature Israel, will present:
“Why Israel’s Nature Matters: 73 Years of Conservation and What Comes Next”
Israel is home to an extraordinary diversity of landscapes, wildlife, and ecosystems packed into a country smaller than New Jersey. In this engaging session, Rachel will explore how the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) has helped protect Israel’s natural spaces for more than seven decades, the challenges facing nature today, and why conservation remains essential for the future.
Whether you are a longtime supporter of Israel, a nature enthusiast, or simply curious to learn more about the land through a different lens, we hope you’ll join us.
The Maine Conference for Jewish Life is a unique opportunity for Jewish learning, community, and celebration, bringing together participants from across New England for a weekend of inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations, and engaging programs.
