Experience the dramatic landscapes of Zin Canyon from above and below on an unforgettable day hike through the Negev Desert! Combining sweeping views with intimate canyon trails, this trip offers a rich mix of desert hiking, wildlife watching, and natural history.
Trip Highlights:
Cliffs & Sky: Start at David Ben-Gurion’s grave at Sde Boker for panoramic vistas over Zin Canyon while scanning the sky for soaring Griffon Vultures.
Desert Oasis: Descend into the heart of Ein Avdat Canyon, where towering limestone walls and freshwater springs support rare desert wildlife.
Conservation & Geology: Hike upward through the canyon to discover unique desert flora, ancient water sources, and ongoing conservation efforts protecting Israel’s endangered birds of prey.

Activity Level: Moderate (3–4 km total with some steep stair climbing). No technical hiking experience needed!
